Aoife: I just passed my test today in Rathgar, after failing first time around. This is largely due to the lessons I received from Kathleen and Imelda. I have taken lessons from 3 different instructors before and I was completely taken aback by how different the lessons with Kathleen and Imelda were. It is not just about you passing your test but about being safer. I was a nervous wreck before my lessons but really overcame my fears with their help. Gerry: This is just a quick thank you note for a new evolved type of driving instructor (Cathleen) who made sense of all the mumbo jumbo I had been thought in the past and crucially guided me through the test in the tough Rathgar center. I had 2 previous tests in the past and failed both but this time I had reasons for optimism. 1. A car to practice in and 2 I dropped my allegiance to ISM and hired Cathleen”s services which proved decisive as she made sense and quashed a lot of the unnecessary tips I had received in the past thus making driving more simple and safe. I passed my driving test on the first attempt last week and I would have to say that I couldn’t have done it without Kathleen. She is a truly excellent driving instructor and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. I was extremely nervous when I started to learn how to drive… I had a few lessons with another instructor but I didn’t feel like I was making progress. After doing some research I decided to switch to Sunbury and get lessons with Kathleen. She has really helped me get over my fear of driving and has turned me into a safe and confident driver, not just for the driving test but for life!! I was so delighted with myself that I had reached the point with my confidence that I felt able to do the test, the fact that I passed on top of that was such a great bonus!! Did just 4 lessons with Kathleen after having failed my test 3 times and finally passed! There was no consistency as to why I was failing and I can honestly say that I had tried around 4 different instructors and they were all useless in comparison to Kathleen. Within 5 minutes of driving with her, she spotted things that no other instructor had noticed and most importantly her coaching is not just about the driving but also giving you the confidence to pass. As you can imagine, after failing so many times my confidence was as big a barrier to me passing as my actual driving. I would highly recommend even those not doing the test in Churchtown/Rathgar to use Kathleen as it is true that it isn't the test route that matters, learning to drive with a great teacher is far more important. Claire 24/03/10 Kathleeen is an excellent driving instructor. She is patient, professional and very motivational. I passed my test after several attempts thanks to her focus on safe driving which ultimately ensured I passed my test. I have had a history of lazy, disinterested Driving Instructors who obviously teach driving as a side line and have no passion, enthusiasm or pride in their work. Kathleen on the other hand obviously loves what she does and can convey a sense of calm and confidence to even a nervous student. You may find some other schools that are slightly cheaper but believe me you get what you pay for! Sunbury should be your only option if you are serious about passing your test. Kathleen does not only help you to pass your test - she also teaches you the importance of safe driving for life and respecting all other road users. Finally passed my driving test in Rathgar on Wednesday thanks to Kathleen! She’a a terrific instructor who is patient and relaxed. She helped me identifiy where I was going wrong and how to improve my driving. I also got her book ‘Pass Your Driving Test 101 tips’, its great, full of helpful tips to help you pass the test. I'd highly recommend her to anyone who has their driving test coming up!

I took my driving test for the first time last Friday and passed! I can't recommend Sunbury highly enough. I had Kathleen and she really did teach me so mush about driving properly and safely and I am in no doubt that it was due to Kathleen that I passed first time. I had just three lessons with Kathleen before I took my third test and passed. I had been driving for fifteen years and had developed lots of bad habits which she quickly identified and ironed out. Kathleen is patient, insightful and professional. She also teaches you how to answer questions in the manner testers want.

I highly recommend this driving school. On Saturday I passed my test in Churchtown with ease and that was after failing atrociously a couple of months ago. A huge part of that was down to Kathleen's expertise. She quickly pointed out where I was going wrong and gave great tips to make sure I passed. Her 101 tips book was a great help too and by the day of the exam I felt really relaxed and prepared (and that was even after getting clamped in the test carpark - beware!)..5 stars,excellent

Just passed my driving test today and I can tell you it is just the best feeling! Imelda at Sunbury was just a fantastic teacher. She made everything so easy to understand, that I felt confident about doing well on my test, and I did! I am so much more confident in my ability to drive well now. I've not been driving that long (about 6 months) but have had some pretty bad driving instructors with a particularly popular school of motoring (I'm sure you know the one I'm talking about!). Then I heard about Sunbury and booked a few pre-test lessons with Imelda. I couldn't rate her higher. An excellent instructor, she helped me keep nice and calm and focussed. I passed 1st time! Sunbury Driving School is the only option when it comes to attaining a Full Drivers Licence! Professional, Patient, Clear and concise. Honestly do not bother with other driving schools as the standard Sunbury is setting cannot be beat-and i have had several awful instructors previous to this all of which were rubbish (cough cough ISM). Thanks to Imelda i was fully prepared for my test and passed. Thanks Imelda.

Just a short e-mail on my very positive experience with Kathleen. She stresses the fact that the tester wants to see a driver and not a learner. She answered all my questions in a friendly and professional manner. After one pre test I was successful in my test even though my test was in Tallaght and the pre test was in Rathgar. I passed my test last month after doing lessons with Kathleen. My test route was Deansgrange, but I did my lessons in Churchtown. It really is true that as long as you can drive well, it shouldn't matter what route you're on. Kathleen's instruction was the clearest and most concise I have received. Did my test on 1st Feb, following 3 of the best driving lessons I have ever received i felt well prepared for my driving test. The morning of the test i got the jitters out of my system by taking another lesson, Kathleen Calmed me Down and told me that I was Pass standard, she was right!! I Passed with only 4 Grade 2 mistakes overall. This was my first Test in 9 years due to education and also a fear of failure. thanks Kathleen for 1. Giving me confidence 2. I was desperated to get someone very good to help me to pass my test!! I failed twiced before until I found Katleen !! I Cant bealive I passed my test!!! Makes you realise how bad the other two were...anyway, she will tell you straight away what you do wrong and she work it out till you do right.. I've just come back from passing the test 1st time round! Kathleen is without question the best instructor I had, once I went out in the car with her, nobody else compared! She will push you to achieve your maximum potential (& beyond)! She's v funny also & doesn't mince her words when giving you a serious rundown on what you are doing wrong! She is no bull$hit about everything, which is just what you need. Her opinions of a certain other driving school are hilarious &i couldn't agree more!

Came to Kathleen to prepare for my second test after failing previously. She really brought my confidence up and got me to focus on my attitude to driving safely rather than just doing enough to pass the test. Would definitely recommend her. I've no doubt the lesson the hour before test ironed out those last minute kinks! Such a relief to finally have my licence. Thanks Kathleen!

I went for a pr test 4 wks before my test and the whole sheet was covered in x's. Didn't think I stood a chance of passing. Kathleen was brill. Took a few lessons and had a pre test straight before my test which helped a lot, and passed with only 3 grade 2 x's. Delighted!!!! Would definitely recommend her!

Seriously never ever thought id be able to pass the test, did it once before had a horrible experience, but Kathleen saved the day! Absolutly no bullshit with her she tells you were your goin wrong tells you how to put it right and doesnt leave you alone till you get it right! highly recommend her!!

Kathleen thanks for everything!!!! Two weeks ago after getting 69 marks on a pre-test I never imagined I would have been able to pass the test 1st time round (esp. with only three months of driving experience!). It was all down to you pointing out EVERY SINGLE fault I had and then helping me rectify them - thanks again!!!

I passed the test on my 2nd attempt, after only 4 HOURS with Kathleen! Unbelievable! I failed first time round with 13 grade 2's and 3 grade 3's after having 20 lessons with another driving instructor(I didn't even get to do the hill start)! With Kathleen I only got 4 grade 2's and passed the test easily!! Thanks again Kathleen!!

Kathleen is an excellent teacher. Other instructors I've had pointed out 1 or 2 things I was doing wrong but Kathleen pinpointed all my mistakes and helped me correct them quickly. I'll be recommending Sunbury to all my friends!

Recently passed test after lessons with Kathleen. Learnt so much and helped not only with getting me through the test but helped to build confidence and get me on the road. Had two pre-test lessons with Kathleen, and would not have passed without her help! (first time too!!) She's a fantastic instructor, cut through all my nerves and got me thinking properly about what I was doing. She focuses on driving safely. I had 2 instructors prior to Kathleen and I can honestly say that I learnt more from her in 1 hour! Was nervous about the test and anxious about what to expect but Kathleen helped not only build my confidence but improve my skills. She has a ?very down to earth? and approachable method of teaching and the lesson always ended with me feeling more positive. Delighted that I passed? & I put it down to Kathleen?s inspired teaching techniques! Very impressed? Highly recommend.

excellent teacher - really "ups your game" for the test. I had 4 pretests and needed them all. Finally got test on my third go. If you want to pass this time get Kathleen to sort you out. Got a tough instructor but didn't worry as I knew I was up to standard.

My second time doing the test and would not have passed it without Kathleen. Have had lots of lessons from others before but learnt more from her in 1 hour than all the rest.The lessons are full of common sense tips to help you pass the test. highly recommended

Kathleen is a brilliant driving instructor. She makes you understand everything about driving. She creates a very calm atmosphere and focuses in on both your strengths and weaknesses. If it wasn't for her I would have never passed my test. I'd recommend her to anyone.

Kathleen was brilliant, i started with her 4 weeks before my test and there is no way I would have passed my test if I had not had Katheen as my instructor. She is an excellent teacher and really chilled out and friendly. She not only inspired me to be a better driver but got me to understand my place on the road in my car and finally 'get' driving!!. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great instructor.

Had a mock test with Sunbury last week and i had LOADS of bad habits, coasting, poor mirror work and don't mention the reverse. Their training is first class and makes driving so simple I cannot recommend them enough. Thanks Subury!!
